Love Inspirations: Fabric Flower Ideas

This past weekend I attending a regional meeting for the Association of Bridal Consultants and was honored to design a table for lunch. I was given the colors fuchsia, apple green, and black and white stripes. The only other stipulation was to try to not use fresh flowers (we were trying to keep the cost down). I decided to create a design using fabric. I created fabric ruffles orbs and fabric flowers. I am very pleased with how they turned out.

Love Inspirations: “Falling” in Love

Personalized Fall Leaves
Falling In Love Save the Date Cards

Chocolate Fall Leaf Wedding Favors

As the weather has started to change, leaves are going to start to turn into those beautiful autumn colors we all love.  The deep reds, rustic oranges, and golden yellows really warm the heart during the fall season.  However, those are not the only things that can bring a glow to your face or get you more excited for your perfect fall wedding!  “Falling in love” is the perfect theme for a great fall season.  Here are some ideas for a great fall theme!  Save the date cards with leaves falling and a picture of the two of you inside the leaf.  The card could say, “Save the date! We’ve fallen in love!”  This is a cute and fun idea to send to your guests.  Next, you could decorate your table with the leaf petals shown above.  You can put your names on them or they can be used as name cards for your guests!  Whatever you choose, these can also be fun take aways from the wedding.  For a party favor, try chocolate fall leaves wrapped in those warm fall colors to thank your guests for coming to celebrate you and your fiance “Fall” in love!

Do you have a fall wedding?  What are some ideas you are planning for your reception and wedding day?  We would love to hear what you are “falling” in love with this fall!

Outdoor September Wedding: Lindsay and Brett

It took a little longer than normal, but here are the photos from Lindsay and Brett’s outdoor wedding this past September. The wedding took place at Lindsay’s parent’s house (thanks mom and dad) and it was a beautiful day. Lindsay was a gorgeous bride and everyone enjoyed the day. Enjoy!

Candy Buffet Fun!

Many brides today are looking for fun favors for their guests. A popular idea is to do a candy buffet. I think this can be a fun and exciting part of your wedding reception. You can use the colors of your wedding to make an impact. Below are some pictures of a candy buffet I helped create.

Because this has become popular, you will not have a hard time trying to find different candies in your color scheme. The items you will need are: candy (of course), different size jars (make sure the mouth is wide enough to get the candy out), scoops (let’s be sanitary), bags and ties. From the pictures above, you will see that adding some decor to the table will help bring it to life. Have fun with it, below is a picture I found for a sign idea.

How much fun is that? Guests will have fun making their goodie bags of all the candies they love. For us with sweet tooths, we love being able to grab some to go.

Enjoy this idea for your wedding!
