Indianapolis Winter Wedding at D’Amore

We have been snowed in for days and it reminded me of a winter wedding we did last December. It actually was not as cold as expected for a December wedding, but the bride was prepared with a fabulous coat. She didn’t let cold weather get in the way of some great outdoor photos.

The other exciting thing about this wedding is our bride was our January Bridal Show Winner and she won help designing her wedding. One of the comments she had when we first talked was she really liked the long tables full of people. She did not think it would happen, but we showed her how she could mix both rounds and long tables together to create a look just for her. It turned out great and we could not have been more pleased.

Please enjoy the photos below of Amy and Ryne’s Rustic Winter Wonderland.

Love Stories: Robbie & Stephanie

We are so excited that we get to be sharing some beautiful photos from our August 13th wedding at the Eiteljorg. I met this couple at the end of December last year and worked with them all year to create their perfect day. I enjoyed meeting and working with the whole family and in fact, miss not talking to them on a regular basis. The rain held off that day for the outside ceremony, our only hitch was the practicing bands behind the ceremony site. I think Stephanie’s dad said it best in his welcome speech when he said, “it is hard to get 30 rival bands to play together, but they did for Stephanie’s wedding.” It may not have been ideal but it will be a memory. Please enjoy the photos!

Love Stories: Gary and Tammy

A couple of weekends ago I receive a call from a father asking me if I was available for the August 27th weekend, the call was on August 20th one week away. I was available and I was able to talk to the bride on Sunday night. The problem was their reception was in a gym (not the bride’s first choice, but only one that worked) and the bride did not want it to look like a gym, can you blame her? On Sunday I got her linen order, so I could order linens on Monday. I then did not meet the bride at the site until Tuesday morning. We then came up with a plan on how she wanted the room decorated. Three days later we showed up and made it happen.

What we started with

What we ended up with

It is not always easy to design an entire reception room in three days, but we did and the bride and groom were extremely happy (mom and dad too). Here are some more shots from the reception.

Half the Room – Love the Black Table Cloths with Ivory Napkins

Table Shot – Accents of Purple and Green

Fun Idea – The centerpiece at every table was a cake, uuummmm!

Head Table – Adding Drama

The Bride Loved My Ruffle Table – So I gave it to Her

Drama on the Dance Floor – This Helped Transform this Room

We were excited to help this couple realize their wedding dream. Remember, even when you think you have run out of time, there is still a chance you can have what you want. It was hard work, but we are very excited we were able to get this done in less than a week.

What do you think, did we transform the gym?

Love Stories: Brandon and Julie

On June 25th, Brandon and Julie got married at the Indianapolis Zoo. It was a great ceremony and a fun reception. They are a beautiful couple who met in high school but did not start dating until years later. I guess it was meant to be. Click the link below to see their video montage.

The Royal Wedding

The world watched today as Prince William married Catherine Middleton. To me it seemed like a modern fairy tale wedding of a girl marrying her prince. Kate looked breathtaking in her Sarah Burton designed wedding gown, looking like a beautiful princess. Prince William looked joyful as he turned to see his bride for the first time (side note, my favorite part of any wedding). We also saw the couple on the balcony kiss and Prince William blush. I love real moments in weddings.

What we want to know is what you thought of the wedding? What was your favorite part? What did you think of Kate’s dress?

14 West Christmas Wedding: Eric and Christine

This past December it was my pleasure to help Christine and Eric with their small intimate wedding. When we first met, they shared their thoughts of a very small intimate wedding. When it was all said and done, the guest list was 26 people. Can you imagine only 26 people at your wedding? They could and it was fantastic. The intimate feel they were after was perfect and they enjoyed visiting with their family and friends. We also decided not to fight the Christmas decor, since their wedding was in December. We did not necessarily make it Christmas, but went with a beautiful crimson red. We then accented that with ivory and black. It came together exactly as they hoped and it added to their special day. Here are some of the details of their day. Enjoy!

Outdoor September Wedding: Lindsay and Brett

It took a little longer than normal, but here are the photos from Lindsay and Brett’s outdoor wedding this past September. The wedding took place at Lindsay’s parent’s house (thanks mom and dad) and it was a beautiful day. Lindsay was a gorgeous bride and everyone enjoyed the day. Enjoy!
