Royal Wedding: Royal Purple and Diamond Wedding

The news is buzzing everywhere about the royal engagement and the upcoming royal wedding. For fun this Friday I decided to do a royal wedding board. And what colors to use but royal purple and diamond, of course!

We will be hearing up until the wedding speculation on what the wedding will look like. Until then, we can all have a little fun planning our royal weddings. Winter Wonderland Color Scheme

As I have been hearing about the snow and ice storm approaching, it reminds me of one of my favorite winter wedding color schemes: white, silver and ice blue. I think that this is a wonderful color scheme that really captures the feeling of winter. The decor can have all white flowers. The girls can where a real pale ice blue and the guys could have silver vests/ties. Reception ideas are endless. You could be surrounded by candle light and lights above to give the effect of the starry night sky. Silver accents can be everywhere and when the candle light hits it, you will get the feeling of glistening snow. You can also add crystals to help with sparkle. You could add them on the table or even in a tree. For all of you brides that are planning a winter wedding, give this idea some thought as it will make for a magical night.

Wedding Colors Trend: Grey and Yellow

One of the new trends in wedding colors is the combination of grey and yellow. I think that this is a great combination that can be used by many different brides. Here are two examples of using the same color combination depending on the type of bride you are. If you are a more classic bride and are having a spring wedding, you could have the girls in yellow chiffon dresses with gray trim holding white roses. The invitations could have a soft yellow scroll pattern and you could be surrounded by yellow and white roses in silver vases on your tables.

Maybe you are a more modern bride. This color scheme can work also work for you. Your bridesmaids could be in grey dresses and holding bright yellow flowers. You invitations could be a modern pattern in grey and yellow. Your tables could have yellow flowers in white vases on grey tablecloths.

Either way you would have a fabulous wedding color scheme. Also for each I would mix it up and have the men where grey tuxedos. For the classic spring wedding it would make the men look softer, and the modern wedding would give a touch of the unexpected. This is a great color combo that I think anyone would enjoy.
